A) Jesus is the foundation and head of His Church. Isaiah 9:6 , Ephesians 1:22-23
B) Ideally, it is our intent that everything that we do or say shall come from Jesus and lead back to Him. We understand that this is an ongoing area for growth among us. We know that we shall never gain perfection in this, but it is the ideal we are working towards. Colossians 1:17-18
C) We do not just have, and promote, a generic spirituality. We have our life and ministry in Jesus of Nazareth who is the Christ. Colossians 2:9-10
A) We yearn for the Spirit of Jesus to call us to Him, to fill us with power to serve and to live as the early Christians did. 1 Thessalonians 1:5 , Acts 1:8 , Acts 4:31
B) We believe that it is only the Holy Spirit who can accomplish anything Godly among us. We can do nothing for God in our own strength. To this end we always seek to yield more deeply to the work and presence of the Holy Spirit and to give Him freedom to move among us. John 14:26 , Acts 8:15-17
A) We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the source of all revelation regarding the triune God, humanity and life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
B) We are passionate about taking people deep into God’s Word.
C) We understand that in order to know who we are in Christ we need to know what He says about us and to us in His Word.
D) We know that to have Christ’s heart for the world we need to know what He says in His Word both about the world as well as about how we are called to live and minister in the world.
A) We acknowledge that little can be done for Christ unless it is covered in prayer. 2 Chronicles 7:14
B) We desire to pray and praise God in and through all of life circumstances. Philippians 4:6-7
C) We embrace prayer knowing it is foundational to our Christian growth and maturity.
D) We believe that prayer is powerful in its effect and in the spiritual realm. For our battle is not just physical, there is also a spiritual battle being waged. James 5:16- 18
A) We are passionate about helping people learn to live free in Christ and to trust God for their future. 2 Corinthians 3:17
B) We understand that all people have a calling to be ministers. To that end we are passionate about equipping people for ministry. We are deliberate about helping people discover their gifts and to find an area of ministry where they can actively serve God. C) We embrace the teaching of Jesus that God has called everyone to His service in some form of ministry. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7
D) We believe that life transformation shall happen as we learn to surrender daily to the Spirit of God and follow Christ. Realities such as a growing awareness of God’s grace and our amazing worth in His eyes shall increasingly affect our lives with a greater sense of liveable freedom. John 17:19 , Romans 15:16 , Ephesians 2:5
E) We value God’s plan for families and support families. Genesis 1:28 , Ephesians 6:1-4 , Colossians 3:20-21 , Mark 10:6-9
A) We believe that we are to give glory to God for everything in our lives.
B) We want to love God with all that we are according to Matthew 22:37.
C) We treasure the surrender that happens in worship as we thank God for His love and provision for us. Acts 17:28
D) We seek to encourage a lifestyle of worship in all people in order to strengthen trust in Christ regardless of whether or not the times we are in are good or hard.
E) We know that “the kingdom comes” in worship. To this end we worship God for His kingdom, His honour and His glory and to see His kingdom come among us.
A) We treasure our calling to evangelize. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
B) We seek to proclaim the message of forgiveness, new life and eternal freedom in Jesus the Christ to everyone God gives us to speak to. 1 John 1:9 , John 3:34-36
C) We try to keep the eternal perspective at the forefront of what we do. We know that people were created to be with God forever and that there is hope for more than just this lifetime. That hope is what we seek to communicate.
A) We believe that no one should be alone. 1 Corinthians 12:27
B) We believe that God created us to be in relationship, first with Him and then with each other. Proverbs 17:17
C) We treasure helping people come to know that they belong and that we are called to live as the body of Christ where we can be of support to each other.
D) We desire to increasingly become a healthy community where safe and positive relationships can begin and grow.
E) Because we believe that we are made to live and serve together, we value teamwork.
